Hello @MrPowers What I can recommend is doing the following
Succesfully connect the Zumi to a wifi network using a computer.
Connect the computer back to the wifi that Zumi is connected to. (example: switch from zumi1234 -- > mywifi)
On your chrome browser go to the following link (example for zumi1234)
http://zumi1234.local/ instead of zumidashboard.ai
If everything worked fine the dashboard should load and you can use your internet network while using Zumi.
You can also use the IP address of the zumi for step 3. The IP address is visible in the setting gear icon on the "zumidashboard".

Some things to note about the camera:
Using the camera draws a significant amount of power, almost the same amount as using the motors.
Importing the camera takes a long time so I would try to run that only once at the top of the notebook in its own cell.
You can use a smaller resolution frame to speed up detection time. Here are some examples of changing the resolution from our docs page.
Overall, the main disadvantage is that the camera drains battery really fast and uses a lot of ram/memory on the Pi Zero. Turning it off whenever possible by calling camera.close() will help save battery.
@paulwekiva Thank you for scheduling a time to talk with us. We had to stop developing content for a few months but we are starting to pick it up again. If anyone else needs help with teaching Zumi in their classroom, please let us know in this thread so that we can guide you.
We apologize for the confusion! The manual you probably saw posted online is an updated version that includes a heatsink, however, this version of the Zumi kit has not yet been shipped out. We will update that on the website. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
As for the internet connection, it will be best for someone on our team to contact you for a support call. Please lookout for an email from us in your email today to schedule one.
