install help
-
We are unable to install the Rokit by robolink. We have uninstalled and reinstalled arduino several times and continue to get an error.
-
@ahudson the following link is the hardware files. Please download this file -> DOWNLOAD <- and set your directory path as the folder labeled Step_2_Addons.
To change your directory you have to locate it using the preference tab.
- File > Preferences > Sketchbook location: C:\Users\username\Documents\Arduino.
The above should be changed to Step_2_Addons.
For reference please use Lesson 1C.
If this does not work, please try deleting files located in: C:$Username\AppData\Local\Arduino15\staging
Then try checking if it works again.
- File > Preferences > Sketchbook location: C:\Users\username\Documents\Arduino.

It still gives the same error code.
-
@ahudson You can still use the above link to install the hardware files.
-
No. It is for the codrone.

Hi Mr. Hudson:
Is this for Rokit Smart or CoDrone?
For Step 1E of Rokit Smart it's for how to upload with the USB Cable.
For installing the hardware files in Rokit Smart please follow this link:
https://basecamp.robolink.com/cwists/preview/171xContinue on to Step 3 and this installation should provide you the files so you can select the proper boards.

We have tried all the older versions and get the same thing.

Hello @ahudson ,
So one quick fix you can attempt is selecting an older version of the Rokit files. Next to install button is a version selection choose an older one.
Let me ask real quick about the CRC error I can get you an answer tomorrow.Arnold

We are using the basecamp videos and are on video 1E. We have version 1.8.7 of Arduino. I am on a Windows 10 64 bit computer.

@ahudson can you please provide the error that you are experiencing? A snapshot or copying of the error message you are receiving should suffice.
Please look into the following steps and let me know which part you are having difficulty with.
Hello, the website pages seems to be constantly being updated (that's a good thing!), so if your Rokit Smart included some paper instructions with a specific link then it may be outdated.Get started using this link:
https://basecamp.robolink.com/cwists/category#products=[3]&selected_sort_by=alphabeticalI found this link by:
Going to the website (https://www.robolink.com/)
Putting the mouse over "Learn" and a drop down menu should appear
Clicking "Learn Rokit Smart"
Clicking "START LEARNING AT BASECAMP"
Hope it helps! -

We also need to have you provide which OS you are using.
