@indrajaal We will have a RaspberryPi Zero on the way for you this week!

Hey @robolink_leila, thanks so much for the support call the other day. Based on the call, I was able to confirm that the RPi Zero is able to boot up, but gets stuck trying to acquire a WiFi address, just as was anticipated.

So, the issue definitely seems to be with its WiFi module.

@indrajaal Most likely it's the RaspberryPi but if you are available for a support call it would help us get some feedback and figure out the next steps. Thank you!

              Hi, @robolink_leila

I recently received my Zumi ( backer 580), and after assembling it, I'm facing the same issue. After powering it up, it remains stuck at the Loading... step.

I've already followed this tutorial and re-flashed it to no avail. I did notice that the image linked to in the video has the name img_0719.img, so maybe it's not the latest? I can try another re-flash if there's a newer image available.

              Please help!

@frankensusan Check out the San Diego Robotics Club on meetup.com! We don't host all of the events, but it's a great community of robot enthusiasts.

@robolink_leila Thank you so much for the amazing support visit.
My wee little Zumi is up and running, with updates. So super cute.

Side question, how can I keep informed about local events where Robolink will be participating?

@robolink_leila I sure will it’ll be heading your way. I’m sure that’s what it is because I didn’t change anything but the pi and it started working. The GPIO header looked ok without any solder shorting across pins.

@sealfish Could you please send your RaspberryPi to our office? We will diagnose the issue and if we find something wrong we will contact you for reimbursement. Thank you!

@robolink_leila I did get mine working by swapping out the R Pi Zero. I had one around here that I had to find first and then had to solder a GPIO header on it. But the R P Zero was my problem. So how can we go about swapping the bad Pi that came with the Zumi out?

@sealfish Could you attach an image of all the wiring? We may need to do a support call with you. I will send you an email to the email associated with this forum account with the information where you can schedule a support call. Thank you!

I’ve flashed the same microSD card that came with the Zuni two different times with two separate downloads and it does the same thing it never gets past loading. I tried it twice just to be sure the download wasn’t corrupted, which it wasn’t. I tried with a brand new class 10 64GB microSD and it did the same. That’s the smallest empty card that I had. I pulled the drive out of Zuni and powered it on just to see what would happen and it did the same thing that it did with the card in it except it would go past the loading... screen to a screen that says, Zumi can’t wake up X X. I backtracked all the wiring and everything is correct. Apparently there’s a problem somewhere else. How about I send this one back and you send another one to me?
                                    Thanks

@robolink_leila it definitely doesn't just need to wait longer. I let it sit for about 20 minutes and it just kept saying loading.

That’s all mine does also. I waited till y’all sent the extra part before assembling mine and it will boot till it says loading and that’s it. I tried to leave a video but it said I didn’t have enough privileges. I would really like to get this working soon.

It may take a few minutes for the instructions to appear on the screen. If you see "Zumi can't wake up", your SD card may be missing or damaged. If the problem persists, please attach a video clip, if possible. Thank you!
