      We ordered several Rokit Smart Kits for our classrooms. Is the necessary software compatible with a Chromebook or will students need laptops with greater storage space and download abilities?

        @alancox We do not have a new link because as far as we know Codebender has updated its interface and it was no longer compatible with our product. If your school has made it work, could you post those instructions to this thread? I think it would be really helpful for the forum community.

        Regardless of the platform (Arduino or Codebender), the lessons on Basecamp will apply to both. The only difference will be in the setup which we don't have documentation for. You will need to reference Codebender's documentation for setting up a device.

          @robolink_leila Codebender was working great for the last 6 months, However when I click the link it now takes me to the basecamp. Can you provide a new link? All of my students have chromebooks and use codebender.

              @alancox I can check again but as far as I know installing the driver was usually necessary to detect the board. You can try using Codebender here if you would like.

              Here is the information from that old lesson:

              On the bottom of that same workspace, you're going to see two drop-down menus: one is for your board, and the other is for your port.

              For your board, select Rokit-SmartInventor-mega32_v2.

              For your port, there may only be one option, depending on how many things are plugged into your computer at once! If you run your code and get a message saying your device is unresponsive, change your port and that should help.

                @robolink_leila

                We used chromebooks last year with rokit smart, what has changed?
                I am setting up my classroom and the lesson link is no longer available.

                  Hi @keithk ,
                  You will need a device that can download and install the Arduino software and the USB driver. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use Chromebooks. Thanks for your question!
