    • zumidashboard.ai is parked

I had just read a post with this issue but can't find it now (I do find a deleted post).

I just ran into this also. It happens when the machine you're using to connect has its Wi-Fi connected to the Zumi, but also has a wired connection with internet access. That ends up being the priority connection, and it redirects to www.zumidashboard.ai, and you get a “Parkingcrew” notification.

@robolink_leila Not sure if I'm having issues or not, but it seems to work. For example, I was able to run the smile-recognition demo app. It was hard to position myself perfectly for it to recognize, but it did. It's quite slow, loading web pages, but it works.

@robolink_leila The directly-connected machine's issue has to do with how it resolves zumidashboard.ai (because it's got a real DNS server, and isn't using Zumi’s, zumidashboard.ai resolves to a routable IP address. I’m not sure what the right solution is here).

Neither my iPhone nor my MacBook Pro can get Zumi to connect to Wi-Fi.

@robolink_leila Oh! Haha. Just goes to show you how important details are in a drawing. A tiny light grey border around the edges of the black square would help all the grey out as background and not switch.

Another issue: I think the last page of the manual incorrectly identifies the on/off switch positions.

@robolink_leila Thanks, I found that video a couple days ago and used those steps.

    • RE: Zumi won’t connect to Wifi

I've tried connecting over a couple of days now, no luck.

I've got a Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-Lite with WPA encryption offering both 2 GHz and 5 GHz networks (under the same SSID). All the other devices in my house can connect to it. I actually copied and pasted the password from the WLAN configuration page to make sure I wasn't mistyping it.

    • Zumi won’t connect to Wifi

I’ve tried several times. It’ll find my network in the scan, but after entering the WiFi password, it tried to connect but timed out. Any suggestions?

Mine was dropped off in the last 20 minutes and I started building it, and ran into this exact problem. I don't have suitable standoffs in my inventory, and I’m not sure how some kid using this to learn is expected to.

Update: It seems perhaps the 3x long plug standoff can be used here, and the 2x socket standoff used later, in step 7.

Update 2: Ah, no, not quite. The forward standoff needs to be a socket type, as it needs to accept a screw from the top to hold the mounting bracket.
