    • CP210x Reinstall Guide

One of our users had some issues with the installation of the MAC CP210x driver, so I wanted to share the best way to solve this in the event any of you all are experiencing this issue.
(Please note that the arduino installation guide for macOS can be found here)

      Step 1:
Download the cp210x driver(links provided below):

      • 2017 Macbooks Driver Download(click here)
      • Older Macbooks(click here)

      Step 2:
      Run the file: SiLabsUSBDriverDisk.dmg

      Step 3:
Open the terminal for macOS, It should look like the following Icon .0_1522694066573_Screen Shot 2018-04-02 at 11.33.47 AM.png

      Step 4:
Drag the uninstaller.sh into your terminal, this will prompt your password, and once you are done this will uninstall the driver 0_1522694130657_Screen Shot 2018-04-02 at 11.35.07 AM.png

      Step 5:
Run the Silicon Labs VCP Driver.pkg0_1522694365072_Screen Shot 2018-04-02 at 11.38.49 AM.png
Follow the prompts and it should reinstall. Please make sure to restart your computer after completing these steps so that your device registers these changes!

    • RE: Board not showing up on Mac.

@robolink_hansol You might've encountered an issue with running the VCP driver. Please try the following link and this should solve the issue: MAC VCP Driver for reference the installation can be found here:
      https://www.robolink.com/how-to-install-the-arduino-ide-2/

If you are using an older MAC OS you may need to use the legacy drivers found here: https://www.silabs.com/community/interface/knowledge-base.entry.html/2017/01/10/legacy_os_softwarea-bgvU

You can also use a file to shave down the two bumps on the side. Those are the pieces that affix the uart cable to the board but In your case they make it fairly snug that it is difficult to pull out.

    • RE: Can't get to the installation.

@nathanbentley for Installation you will need the following:

Download the Arduino IDE. (click here)

Download Add-ons: (click here) You will need to unzip this as this will be a compressed file. Make sure you keep track of where it is unzipped.

      Install USB drivers: (click here)

    • RE: ROKIT board continually blinks and cannot change programs

      Hi JC!

Because our board uses Infrared(IR) sensors sometimes natural/ambient light can trigger the sensors. As a result you will see the led shift over and over.

Try moving away from areas with too much uv lighting and you should be able to have it function.

If you provide a video showing what is ocurring then that may provide us more information so that we can assist you!
